I took my Bachelor's Degree in 2003 from the Department of Public Administration of the University of Hacettepe, Turkey. Afterwards, I began the Master's Degree programme of Political and Social Sciences in the same department and graduated in 2006. During my MA study, I was employed by the department as a research assistant.

 

Between 2006 and 2011, I wrote my PhD thesis with the supervision of Prof. Alan Hamlin and Prof. Hillel Steiner. In 2011, I was granted a PhD by the University of Manchester for my thesis titled as "Challenging the Conservative Exceptionalism: Theme of Change in the Conservative Canon".

 

I am currently employed by the Hacettepe University, Department of Political Science and Public Administration as a lecturer.

 

My broader research interests include conservatism, political ideologies and social science methodology.
